i am basing this on only 2 things - not the clues per se

fate - may refer to the fact that we will know the fate of the battle of harry vs voldemort (oops i can sense the shudders) or that death is our fate - ref to title or that it is last in series
probability - dont know - unless it is wizard of odds or the anticipation
