The shape of the eye in a needle is an ellipse??

here is my attempt.

the answer is 'eye of the needle',
a ken follet novel

1. ... -- ellipsis , meaning 'and
so on ' --- ellipse ---the eye
of the needle is elliptical in
shape

2. i -- eye -- part of the title

3. intravenous -- IV -- needle --
another part of the title.

alternatively '...' is morse for S - so that means needle's eye or eye of the needle

i feel this is too direct for anantha ! TL just cannot be eye of the needle - the 3 words just add up to this!

Another take -

... - Missing word - puzzle

i - me, myself - Anantha

intravenous - needle - like a drug, this game is getting into our blood

Trylateral - The Trylateral game:-)

why should i, me, myself be anantha? do i sound like a self-obsessed pig?

Trylatereal - Io

1) ... - Morse code for S - natural satellite

2) i - I - first-discovered satellite of a planet

3) intravenour - IV - Jupiter

Trylateral - First-discovered natural satellite of Jupiter - Io

another take

... = connecting or conjunction

i = eye

Intravenous = IV = Ivy (poison) = causes eye infection

TL - eye infections/conjunctivitis

"..." --> S (in morse) --> Yes

i -->eye--> Aye

Intravenous -->IV--> Four-->For

TL-->Affirmation

Wild guess:

... = Sign for ellipsis = Sign
intravenous = IV = Four
i = island = Andaman Islands, where the story begins

TL = The Sign of Four

this better be right...

... = etc etc etc = yul brynners famous line

i

intravenous = blue blood = king

Tl - The king and i

Clue 1 can be The third twin - as all 3 dots are identical.
